Our founder Hasan Sürkit stepped into commerce trading grain in Iğdır. The first seeds of today’s holding were sown in these years.

Growth that began with an agricultural dealership turned into a regional identity with the first exports to Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan. Export and tax records were won in Eastern Anatolia.
The fertiliser and tractor dealership of Zirai Donatım was acquired in Iğdır.
The first exports to Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan were made. Ranked third in exports in the Eastern Anatolia Region.

Industrialisation began with food production; Azerbaijan’s first biscuit and chocolate factory was established. The salt mines in Iğdır and Kars were acquired, adding mining to the portfolio, and expansion into Georgia was achieved.

Our founder Hasan Sürkit passed away on 21 November 2019.
Our scale grew with refined salt production, expanding energy capacity and NP Petrol. Sürkit Holding was officially established in 2023; in 2026 a new era began with Best Brands Enerji’s public offering.
The first steps were taken for the Refined Salt Factory. Ford Plaza was renovated and reopened for service.
The petrol station in Karakoyunlu was renovated and began operating as Opet-SunPet. The number of stores in Azerbaijan exceeded 30. The first target in the energy sector, 50 MW, was reached.
